We offer a comprehensive initial pain consultation.  An extensive medical and pain history are obtained, and a thorough physical examination is performed.  Then the correct medical diagnoses are explained to the patient and family.  The anatomy of the patient's pain diagnoses are taught to the patient, via anatomic charts and models.
We then perform an appropriate diagnostic work up.
Following this we sit down with the patient and go over treatment options and explain risks and benefits to the patient.
Treatments include the use of adjunctive medications, pain medication and injections.
Injections performed include myofascial trigger point injections, sciatic nerve blocks, brachial plexus blocks, peripheral nerve blocks, and epidural steroid injections.
Follow up visits to assess patient progress are performed.  Ongoing discussion with the patient allows ongoing assessment and points out changes that may be necessary to improve the treatment plan.
